Computer-Aided Engineering - summer term 04

overview

description The practical course is offered for the first time in this semester and is intended for graduate students. It is possible to choose from the following topics:

  • Visualization in circuit design

  • Testing of hardware

  • Formal verification

  • FPGA design

All assignments are smaller subproblems of ongoing research activities.
Starting with an analysis of the problem and with learning about relevant software environments
a proposal for a solution (specification) is developed (possibly by competing teams). This specification is implemented and evaluated.

Previous knowledge in the area of computer architecture and design will help, but is not mandatory. The practical course will amount to 6 credit points. Course material will be in German and English.

Depending on the topic the practical course can be continued in a project work.

time/location: by arrangement
