Southern Nagasaki - Glover Garden

Nagasaki was the first Japanese city open to Western foreigners and Glover Garden is where they lived. Glover was the name of one of them. Here are some views:

Nagasaki is also where Puccini's opera «Madame Butterfly» plays. There is a memorial of Mme. Butterfly and a bust of Puccini (that round thing that is not well visible):

Foreigners living in Nagasaki brought Western food into Japan. Here is a monument commemorating this.
